I am still alive, creating another scene to practice Unreal while I take a break from a larger project. More info soon!
update 1: Focused on using focal length and depth of field to create a more interesting dolly shot. Used more complex particle systems from Niagara. Placeholder for portal which is the final part of the piece before post.
update 2: Smoothed out the smoke, will fix the red before the final post, Wednesday. Added vortex force to several particle effects like the mist and fireflies to give them a bit of motion. The mist and water also now react to the portal. Added a burst particle for when the monolith completely disappears.
Further updates will be polish and colour adjustment and maybe a few more small VFX additions.
